How To Submit A Proposal

Submission Guidelines for Princeton University Press

Thanks for your interest in publishing with Princeton University Press. If you have a book project that fits our profile as an academic publisher, please send a brief proposal to the appropriate editor from the below list whose area of acquisitions is best suited to your proposed book. * Please do not send proposals to more than one editor. Editors will check with their colleagues if they think a project might be better suited for them. A set of proposal guidelines can be found here. You should expect a response in 6-8 weeks. We ask you to please refrain from querying the Press via phone or email until such time has elapsed.

Due to the volume of submissions we receive, it is the policy of the press to NOT return proposals or manuscripts—including those submitted with a self-address stamped envelope—nor do we retain such material at the Press. Princeton University Press is not responsible for any lost or misdirected manuscripts, photos, or artwork, so please do not send originals unless specifically requested. Thank you for your cooperation. We look forward to hearing from you.
